Hosts: Marc Cabot, Joel Richard, and Richard Gray
Marc, Joel, and Rich explore some bad product ideas we’ve seen over the years.
Richard sent me an email outlining a few pretty terrible ideas: My BFF (Bacon Fat Fondue), Clippy, His bacon mints. He said, “Why not make a show about these things??”. I responded with a very enthusiastic, “Meh, why not.” And so production began. He also wrote the intro sketch.
“If at first an idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it.”

The list of Bad Ideas
- (Savory) Bacon Mints
Not Savory. Not Minty. Not Delicious. Rather tastes like some awful, smoky, demonic filth somewhere in between. Turns out Richard didn’t throw them away! He sent me a picture..
- Bacon Icecream <- Not so bad of an idea….
Burger king is capitalizing on this now..
- Breath Strips
It seems like every time we stupid thing we mention, you can always find people on You Tube that have done it.
- Clippy the Paper Clip
There is literally endless amounts of material bashing clippy all over the internet. I won’t include anything here, just go look. Everybody hates him and is eager to blog/troll/talk/draw cartoons about it.
- The Room
I think we talked this one to death.
- The IOMega ZIP drive.
Ok, so it turns out it was called, “The Click of Death”. Not, “Click Death”.
- Windows ME
This was the consumer version of the pro counterpart, Windows 2000. Both were eclipsed pretty quickly by Windows XP.
- Not See Kola
I got this in my email from Richard:
“As it turns out the people who make the Not See Kola have nothing to do with the lemonade I mentioned but I did find their website for laughs. http://leninade.realsoda.com“
